I emailed them and immediately received a reply apologizing for the mistake and offering compensation, allowing me to choose another wine from the same vintage for a higher price without paying extra. I had the new wine at my place the next day, so I managed to give the gift on time. The service was very polite; I was pleasantly surprised by their response to the mistake. I highly recommend them! Good selection of older wines. The website said shipping was free above $150, my order was above this, but I was still charged a shipping fee. When I wrote asking about it, no one seemed to care. More frustratingly, they put the wrong name on the shipment. When I pointed this out they asked me to contact the courier myself. Courier confirmed (as I told Via Tempia) that only the account holder who sent the shipment can change the details. Once I pointed this out I was told they would try, and then never heard anything back. The wine did arrive as advertised, but the customer service in getting there was disappointing.
We bought a 1963 Chianti Riserva Badia and Coltibuono as a gift. We were quite worried, after all, the wine is only 60 years old, it's not just that anymore. Fortunately no worries as the wine was absolutely superb and the longer we drank it the better it got.
I decided to get my father-in-law a wine from the year he was born, so I chose this company's 1969. The bottle looked beautiful, but only until we opened it. Spoiled wine, obviously improperly stored for a long time, so wasted money and a spoiled evening.20/07/2021 - absolutely excellent communication from the store, a very high-quality complaint was made. I received compensation in the form of even better quality wine, and I really have to praise the entire company and everyone who dealt with the matter with me. Thank you very much.
