He fell in love. When the 18-year-old Dutchman Adrien Uijttewaal arrived in the Médoc region in Bordeaux, he found paradise on earth. This was where he wanted to live, raise livestock, and grow grapevines in harmony with nature.
Today, the winemakers at his Château Saint-Hilaire winery handcraft the ruby-red wine that’s the pride of all of Bordeaux. They grow the Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon varieties, harvest them by hand, continuously taste them, and blend their wines into perfectly harmonious batches.
