A golden amber drop falls into the glass. Your sense of smell is tantalized by the scent of honey and caramel. Tokaji’s typical sweet taste, rich and blended with an unmistakable bready note, rolls onto your tongue.

As soon as you taste the 5-puttonyos Tokaji 2007 you’ll fall in love. Just like we did.

The winemakers needed 5 puttonyos (wooden baskets) of botrytized grapes – that’s 125 kg – to make 136 l of wine. These berries infected with a noble fungus have a concentrated taste. They are harvested by hand, slowly. And it’s worth it – these botrytized grapes
give the 5-puttonyos Tokaji its intensity and distinctiveness.

After fermentation, the wine matured in an oak barrel that the predecessors of today’s winemakers dug out of volcanic rock. All 5-puttonyos wines mature there for at least 7 years. But this one actually rested for 15 years in its cave.

120 grams of sugar, a high alcohol content, and balanced acidity predestines the Slovak Tokaji select 2007 for archiving. Taste how the years in the cellar developed the wine and rounded it out. Or give it some more years to mature in your own archive.

It’s a fabulous complement to exceptional events. And it caresses the tongue of every lover of exceptional wines.
