What can you expect in this wine tasting set?
2018 Barolo Coste di Rose DOCG
The brick-ruby color reveals that you’re about to have the honor of meeting with an exceptional red wine. It underwent a 35-day maceration process, which gave it this color as well as a pleasant tannin profile and distinctive flavor.
Long maturation in an oak barrel, then in a tank, and finally in its bottle allowed the aromas of blackberries, red currants, tobacco, and dried flowers to arise. In its taste you’ll be fascianted by notes of fruit, nuts, and tobacco, all balanced by a light acidity and by tannins that ensure a long finish.
Taste it now with hard cheeses, or give it some more time. It will repay you for each year of maturation.
2018 Barolo Monrobiolo di Bussia DOCG
Fireworks of flavor in a glass of crimson red wine with an orange glow. Hand-picked grapes of the Nebbiolo variety underwent a long 30-day maceration, which gave the wine a rich color and distinctive tannin profile. After this, the wine rested for 2 years in an oak barrel and for 6 months in a tank, in order to mature to perfection.
It will charm you with a semi-sweet aroma of oak, taste of candied fruit, and traces of vanilla. You’ll taste ripe cherries and long-lasting tannins on your palate.
Take a bite of a ripe cheese or wild game to go with this wine.
2020 Barolo DOCG
Smell it. Can you detect dried plums, sweet berries, and violets? This is the scent of the exceptional 2019 vintage of the Italian red Barolo wine made from Nebbiolo grapes. It will surprise you with its royal ruby color and brick-toned glow and its full, rich taste.
The famous winemaking village of Barolo is hidden among the hills of northern Italy. Here, winemakers harvest their full-flavored grapes by hand and take their time with the production of wine. The maceration of this wine lasts 20 days, and then it matures for 24 months in oak barrels, 6 months in tanks, and 10 months in its bottles.
Archiving and aging benefit it, and with each year its full taste further develops and the fruity tones deepen.
This dry red Barolo is best served at a temperature between 16 and 18 °C and you will enjoy it with roasted or grilled meat.
