You know, not every wine deserves a Gran Reserva label. This one has a right to it.
A complex and mature red wine
You sip the wine. Let it lie on your tongue for a second, or two, or three. You discover more and more new tones and you can’t get enough.
This is exactly what you’ll experience with this archival red wine from the Spanish La Rioja region. This wine made from the traditional Tempranillo variety is brimming over with tastes and aromas.
The dark ruby color with a hint of mahogany captures the eye.
Your sense of smell is intrigued by the immense range of aromas. Ripe figs, plums, cherries. Dried apricots and cherry blossoms. The scent of Dad’s tobacco box and a spice cabinet where the scents of cinnamon, vanilla, nutmeg and cloves predominate. And caramel candies on top.
The first sip brings in harmonious tones of fruit and oak. Elegance, velvety softness, and an endlessly long finish.
How was it made? Slowly.
The winemakers from the Urbina family aren’t in a hurry for their wine. After they harvested the Tempranillo grapes in 2004 they let them macerate for 28 days. After that, it aged for 36 months in an oak barrel.
Now this archival red wine is waiting for you in our archive. Will you find it?
