When you find the right varieties and combine them you get a balanced wine.

The winemakers from the Spanish Buezo winery found a perfect ration of Tempranillo (50 %), Merlot (25 %) and Cabernet Sauvignon (25 %). Together, they make a smooth and opulent red wine.

It’s been maturing since 2005 in order to reach you in peak form.

The Spanish Buezo winery: Tradition and science go hand in hand

Buezo isn’t a winery with a 100-year history. It was established in the year 2000 using something close to the scientific method – from the experiences of an architect, an engineer, and a master winemaker. A stellar combination. This was proven in the international competitions that awarded Buezo’s wines with gold medals.

Winemakers here harvest their grapes by hand and process them under strictly monitored conditions. The wines’ aging in oak barrels is reflected in their taste and aroma. And so is their archiving – very long archiving.

Their 2005 vintage is the first wine Buezo has released for sale. It’s mature, charismatic, and full of flavor.

This wine received 91 points out of 100 at the Decanter World Wine Awards competition.

Balanced archival cuvée

The archival red Varietales 2005 takes the best from each grape variety. The balance and fruity aroma of Tempranillo. The velvety softness of Merlot. The sensuousness of Cabernet Sauvignon.

In its aroma you’ll detect red fruit, honey, and tones of oak and tobacco. Its taste will surprise you with fresh acidity and complex structure. It remains on your tongue for a long time and reveals notes of flowers and chocolate.

Long years of maturation have given this wine personality, just like all the other wines from the Buezo winery. Get acquainted with it through your own taste buds.
